Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using BY8, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

BY8 is a free link sharing service that lets you share URLs via temporary PINs and short links. Links expire automatically after 15 minutes. The service is provided as-is with no guarantees of uptime or availability.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BY8 to share links that:

• Contain malware, phishing, or other harmful content
• Distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal activity
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Contain or link to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Harass, threaten, or harm others
• Spam or abuse the service in any automated fashion

4. Security Logging

To prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations, we log metadata (IP address, user agent, country, and timestamp) when links are created. These logs are retained for up to 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the links you share through BY8. We do not monitor, endorse, or verify the content of shared URLs. We reserve the right to remove any link and ban users who violate these terms.

6. No Warranty

BY8 is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that links will remain accessible for the full 15-minute window, or that the service will be available at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BY8 and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to exposure to malicious links shared by other users.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
